About Lisa
Owner, Garden Coach and Designer
My love of gardening started as a hobby when my kids were young and has evolved into a second career. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how gardening connects us - to nature, to our food, and to eachother.
After completing NY Botanical Garden Horticulture program, I co-founded Norwalk Grows, School Garden Partnership in Norwalk, CT. We later partnered with FoodCorps to bring hands on garden and food education to students, helping them discover the joy of growing, tasting and sharing fresh, local food. In 2022, I led a team in launching CT Farm to School Institute - expanding farm-to-school programs and connection between classrooms, cafeterias and communities across Connecticut.
Through Simply Grown, I’m bringing the same spirit of community, learning and healthy living into home gardens designed to inspire new gardeners everywhere. Teaching kids how to plant, harvest, and enjoy what they grow has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey. With my children grown, I’m excited to bring that same passion to your home garden—offering personalized coaching and practical guidance to help you grow with confidence.
Because a garden is never just about the plants. It’s about connection, nourishment, and the stories that take root along the way..
